Even More Cruise Pics

A picture of the water at Castawa Cay - Disney's Private Island. I could live here very easily ('til huricane season came)
Riding the tram from the ship to the family beach. We could not have asked for a better day to be here. The weather was great.

The ship while docked at Castaway Cay

Brice eatting a turkey leg at the Pirate Deck party.

Charlie at the end of the water slide at the Mickey pool

Charlie at the Mickey Pool. The pool is only like 1.5 ft deep for kids. There are 2 small wading areas (Mickey ears) and then his face is the pool. The kids have a blast here. There is also a slide that comes down beside the pool and on the back area there is a splash area for anyone that has to wear swim diapers. The swim and splash area are shut down and cleaned every night. And the pool is totaly drained and cleaned is there is ever any thought that anyone has had an accident in the pool.

A shot of Nassau Bahama. The peach building with the green roof is the port authority building you must ener the city and exit the city through this building.

The ship has a broadway type show every night. The first night was the Golden Mickey's and Charlie got chosen out of the audience to be in the show. Here he is as a dwarf dancing with Snow White.

His first picture with Mickey
No there are not that many pictures of me, because I was behind the camera most of the time. My husband manned the video though and he got some very incriminating video of me. These are all the pictures I am going to post, but I have many more if you want to see them just ask. I will be glad to show them to you and Charlie will be glad to give you a very entertaining version of our trip.

More Cruise Pics

This is the first time ever Charlie got to see Mickey Mouse. He ran over and gave him a high five and then had his picture made with him. One nice thing about the crusie instead of Disney World is that you get to meet jsut about all the characters on board. They make multiple appearances all around the ship. The list of who we were able to have our pictures made with is very long.
Here is the first time Charlie got to be on stage. This is at the bon voage deck party as we pulled out of port.

This is the port terminal in Port Canavral. This is where we go through security and get on the boat. This is taken from the top deck of the boat

This is our room. The closet and 2 bathrooms are behind me.

After we got on the ship and had lunch we went and explored the ship. Here Charlie is about 1:00 Pm and still going strong since 330 AM. He didn't stay and take a nap this was about a 5 sec. stop and then up and on with exploring.

A few pictures from the Cruise

The pictures are in a funny order. Sorry. Hope you enjoy. Charlie just before we left for the Pirate Night Party. He is sitting in the porthole (window) in our room.
Charlie with Minnie Mouse. This was just after we got on the ship and we were eatting lunch.

Charlie with the Captain of the Ship Capt. Jon. He signed our Christmas ornament and he was entertained by Charlie! He got quite a laugh.

Charlie at BWI airport at 4AM. We thought we would let him stay in his PJ's and sleep and we would carry him to the airport. He was awake at 330AM ready to go!

Pumpkin Patch

2 Alpaca's that live on the farm

Charlie with his pumpkin

Charlie's Class

On Tuesday October 7th we went to the "pumpkin patch" with Charlie's school. It was actually an Alpaca farm with a small pumpkin patch for the kids. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Alpaca's are a part of the camel family.
Charlie's words about our visit to the patch: "I liked the stories so much. I liked the Alpaca's on the farm very much. I love everyone in my class. I loved the wool that they had and I liked everything that I saw."

Flabbergasted

Flabbergast: To cause to be overcome with astonishment; surprise (America Heritage Dictionary found via Google)

As of Tuesday evening I am now flabbergasted.

While I was making dinner Charlie came to me and asked me "What does flabbergasted mean?".
I said "I am not sure. I think something about being surprised. We can look it up,"
Charlie "It means you are so surprised you don't even know where you are."
I said " Really"
Charlie "Really" and he ran off to play.

Well, I put off cooking dinner for a few min. and went and googled flabbergasted (which I misspelled then) and found out - He was right!

My child always amazes me! Brice and I have decided we need to buy a dictionary so we will be able to talk with our own child - hahaha.

1st day of 4 year old Kindergarden

I can not believe that today my baby started 4 year old kindergarden. Just like 2 years ago he walked right in and started playing, with the marble run of course. He has talked about the marble run since going to open house last week. He has been wanting to go back to school since early July. Enjoy the pictures.

Not Much Happening

Not much going on around here.

We are trying to adjust to our new routine. If you can call what we have now a routine!

Mom and dad have a new above ground pool at the house and we have been spending time swimming. That's about it.

We drove past Charlie's school the other day and he declared he is ready for school.
Above is a picture of Charlie swimming in the pool the first day it went up. The water temp. was 66 degrees. I couldn't make it past my knees and Charlie never made it off the ladder that day!

Happy Birthday To Charlie

Charlie has celebrated his 4th birthday!

We had a blast at his party on the 14th. Mickey Mouse style of course. All the children played on the swing set and in the pools. I can't believe it has been 4 years since God - and Charlie's wonderful birth mother - gave us this wonderful miracle. It is so amazing to see him grow and change. Not a day goes by that he does not amaze us in more than one way. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to be able to celebrate with.

Awana Awards Night

Awana is a program for 2 year old's through 12th grade. Charlie just finished his first year of Cubbies (3-4 year old program). He finished his jumper book which means he memorized 30 Bible verses. The paper chain he is holding in the picture - each link represents 1 verse that he memorized.

A Day at the National Zoo

We went to the National Zoo in DC on Saturday (May 10th). We (Nana, Dad, Charlie, and Uncle Greg) took a bus trip. We had a blast. Charlie says his favorite animals were the monkey that looked at him through the glass and the panda bears. He loved watching the meerkats dig and look for bugs to eat.

So, I'm Not a Good Blogger

Ok. Ok. I don't keep up with this like I should. As always life is exciting with Charlie around. He is doing well with the potty. Every once in a while we have a mess up. He is so excited, and so are we, that we will be going on the Disney Cruise in October. He is dooing well in school. He is quite the ladies man. He is now playing t-ball. You have to be 4 by May 1st (of course he won't be 4 'till 6/18). He was soooo sad he could not play. However, THANK YOU JESUS!!, the Staunton YMCA has a 6 week program for 3-4 year olds. He as had 2 practices and loves it! He got a rabbit for Easter. He wanted a purple girl rabbit named George. His white girl rabbit named George lives at his grandma's house. She is very friendly and cute. Chalrie still loves Thomas, but most of all he loves!!!! to play outside. I will try to do better. Hope everyone likes the pics.
